Bachelorette: The Final Two - JoJo, What Have You Done?!

I realize I haven't blogged in a long time, and I've had so many topics on my mind to talk about since my wedding last year, but never any motivation to post them...until I saw the Bachelorette last night. First off, I have to say I've always enjoyed watching The Bachelor solely for the purpose of laughing at all the girls fighting over a guy they barely know or watching their solo camera moments while they stand there gazing into the sunset or pose against a wall acting like they're thinking hard about life, or when the bachelor/ette acts surprised by someone showing up to their place when clearly they know what's about to happen because the camera crew is already there. It's pure comedy! However, a part of me gives in to the show because I am quite the hopeless romantic and seeing all the trips they go on gives me travel ideas. I just believe a lot of the show lately has been as fake as our current presidential nominees. The show has a recent history of people who have gone just to get t.v. exposure and/or who are actually in another relationship while being on the show. Oddly enough, I was once nominated and got a call in 2012 to be on the show, but I had just started dating my husband so I had to pass. That would've been a heck of an experience!

Now, to talk about this season! After falling into the trap of watching Ben Higgins as the Bachelor and thinking JoJo was the perfect girl and feeling bummed that she got away, I was super excited she was going to be the new Bachelorette and had to follow her journey. She seems like the total package! She's gorgeous, funny, upfront, playful, and seems so genuine, which you don't see often in girls on reality t.v. these days. Plus, following her on social media makes me want to be her friend. Can we hang out please?

From the beginning of this season, I didn't think a single guy was good for her. Something about most of these men just screamed douche. I'm not sure if it's their similar pompadour hairstyle, tight pants, or that none of them have a personality that stands out, minus sweet James. Poor guy was just not a good fit for her. I'm also confused as to how Evan stayed on as long as he did but I was very happy when he left, and no I'm not looking forward to Bachelor in Paradise since he's on it. Moving on!

Okay, let's talk about the final four guys, which were the hometown dates, Chase, Robby, Jordan and sweet, precious Luke. I think you all know who my favorite was. These last four show she has a specific type that I can't argue with: tall, light features, nice face, sweet, and caring, but none of them have a big sense of humor and that's one of the most important traits a man should have especially if the girl is playful. Most of these men seem so serious! From the beginning, Chase has had absolutely zero emotion in his eyes and face that I couldn't read him up until the hometown date. He finally opened up to her then and became vulnerable which won me over just a little.

Robby seems extra pretty and something rubs me the wrong with with him. Not sure if it's because he tries too hard to be nice that it doesn't come off authentic or if his eyes scream liar (I'm a huge eye reader), even more so after the whole rumor about him breaking up with his ex-girlfriend just to be on the show.

JoJo seems to continuously have doubts about Jordan which is not healthy for a relationship. I can kind of understand why though. He's a former professional quarterback & pretty charming so there could be mixed feelings as to whether he's there for the right reasons or not. I also feel like she likes him so much that she continuously wants validation from him so she doesn't get her heart broken again, because she REALLY lights up around him. I've been that girl before. When we like someone so much we want to make sure they like us just as much and hear it from them all the time. I did think Jordan had a player vibe going on but he's grown on me. He seems to be honest when she asks him a million questions about his feelings and why he's there. He never changes his story and his face tells me he's honest.

Luke on the other hand, won me over for JoJo from nearly the beginning and I practically dropped my plate of dessert when she didn't call his name for the final three. That was when I decided I HAD to write about this. Here's why I think Luke should have stayed: He's from Texas, which is where she's from, he's very handsome, sweet, has a HUGE heart, and they also have a lot of chemistry, physically and emotionally, which I think she had more than Chase and Robby. I have a feeling she just wanted to hear all these men tell her they loved her which is pointless considering she rejected Chase right after he told her. I think she liked Luke more than Chase, but since Luke told her how he felt a little too late, she was afraid Luke didn't feel as strongly about her & would break her heart, so she strung Chase along to see if her feelings would grow for him. Welp, that didn't work out, now did it?

Today is the Men Tell All episode so that should be fun to see. I predict Jordan will win the final rose and Luke will be the next Bachelor, but I can't see Luke liking a ton of girls. He seems like a one girl kind of man, but he is a man after all so who am I kidding? Who would you want as the next Bachelor? Someone from this season or a fresh face we haven't seen before? I think a new face would be more exciting! Tell me your thoughts on last night's episode and what you're hoping to see next week. :)
